The topics covered:

  • Prof. Sudhir Ghorpade:

    • Enumerative Combinatorics: Basic methods (pigeonhole principle and mathematical induction) with many combinatorial applications. Permutations, binomial coefficients, multisets. Binomial theorem and related identities. Compositions, integer partitions, set partitions, Stirling numbers.

    • Linear Algebra: Positive matrics, Structure of orthogonal matrices.

  • Prof.Jugal Verma:

    • Linear Algebra: Review of Eigenvalues and eigenvectors, Spectral theorem for normal operators, Singular value decomposition.

  • Prof. Anantnarayan Hariharan:

    • Group Theory: Equivalences and partitions, basic definitions, isomorphisms of groups.Examples of groups, including cyclic, dihedral, and permutation groups, groups of automorphisms of field extensions, free group on 2 generators. Subgroups, and the induced equivalence relations, quotient groups.Group actions, the orbit-stabilizer formula, and class equation.The theorems of Lagrange, Cayley, Cauchy and Sylow theorem using group actions.

  • Prof.Samrith Ram:

    • Enumerative Combinatorics :Set partitions, Stirling numbers, Cycles in permutations and permutations with restricted cycle structure. Principle of inclusion and exclusion, Sieve methods. Generating functions (including ordinary and exponential generating functions), Recurrence relations.

      Linear Algebra: Review of Inner product spaces, self adjoint operator, spectral Theorem.

The city of Nagpur is located in the center of India and is well connected by road, rail and air with all the major towns in India.

Railway station:
 
The college is 6 Kms away from Nagpur railway Station. This station has two gates namely `Santra Market gate' and `Main gate'. The Main gate is on Platform no. 1.  Outside the main gate, prepaid auto rickshaw service is available . It will cost you about Rs. 100. Private taxi services of Uber and Ola are also available in Nagpur.
 
Airport:
 
The college is about 13 km from Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar airport of Nagpur. Uber and OlA taxi services are available at the airport. It takes about 45 mins to reach the college in peak hours.
